How to Amplify Your Digital Content

Creating content for your website or social media channels can be taxing and tiresome, but when you see the results - it is absolute magic! Some business owners have small teams, therefore there is limited time and resources to create valuable content. Here is a quick blog to make the most of your digital marketing content.

1. More is NOT better

If you are creating content and posting non stop, you may wonder why you aren't getting results. Consider your plant behind the content. Why are you posting? What is the call to action? What is this content leading up to? If you take the 'spray and pray' approach to content, you may find that you are turning off more customers than attracting customers. Have a plan.

2. Engage with your content & followers

Do not sit around and wait for followers to share, like, or comment on your posts. As your team to engage with the content to help amplify the reach to new customers. If you have customers engaging, commenting, or sending your business messages - do not ignore. Like their comments, reply to comments, and always answer messages in a timely manner. This is proof of your good customer service.

3. Tap into your customer's wants and needs

You may have heard of the term 'customer person'. Creating a 'customer persona' is very important to understanding what your customer is looking for, what they value, what they need, where they are looking for answers, and how you can solve their unique problem.

4. Share different content on different channels

Each social media channel has their own unique users. Would you visit Pinterest to look for your sister's new baby pictures? Probably not. Keep the social media channel in mind when you are posting. Ask yourself "Is this content appropriate for this channel? Will I get the best engagement from this content on this channel?" If you have your social media channels synced together, I would highly advise you to reconsider.

5. Use the free analytical tools to track your results

Many small businesses have tight budgets and may not have access to robust scheduling tools, such as HubSpot. If you cannot afford a scheduling tool, please take advantage of the analytical tools in social media platforms. Facebook has the Creator Studio, where you can schedule posts, view engagement and analytics. Instagram Insights provide your business account with valuable information on your followers gender, age range, and location. Pinterest Analytics provides data on your top performing pins, overall presence, and audience insights. Twitter business accounts offers a native analytics tool to tap into your content, followers, and more.
